William Jones
Instructor of Portage County Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Bill Jones has been training in the martial arts since 1985. Since that time he’s earned Black Belts in Shotokan Karate, Poekoelan Kung Fu, and Aiki Jujitsu (Japanese Jujitsu).  In 2004, after returning from military service in Operation Iraqi Freedom and looking to continue his martial arts training, Bill was introduced to Tony Rinaldi. After one Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu class with Tony, Bill knew that he had found the right style and instructor. Bill stopped wearing a black belt that day, vowing to never to wear a Black Belt again until he earned it in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. Bill has taught in various capacities in many different venues including being a hand to hand combat instructor in Iraq, teaching the accredited self defense course at YSU, and instructing adults and children in karate, kung fu, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
